Facts about salmon meat and Salmon Paws:
Shades change from LIGHT to DARK depending on the season, you
will notice SALMON PAWS jerky products change shades of color
throughout the year.
Just as if you were to go PURCHASE "WILD" salmon to throw on the grill
for your own dinner, you will notice that WILD salmon is MANY shades of
pink/coral... Because it is a "WILD" FISH.
LIGHTER SHADES: are MUCH LEANER in fat- bake a little crisper.
DARKER SHADES: are a much FATTIER fish- bake more moist.
2 times a year, usually in the WINTER & beginning of the
year, you will see the lighter shades of fish, due to the salmon
swimming upstream & they burn much more FAT, causing meat to be
much LEANER.
BOTH LIGHT & DARK SHADES are just as nutritious & quality meat
caught out of the pristine waters of Alaska. WE DO "NOT" use FARM
RAISED SALMON.... FARM RAISED SALMON , just like you will see on the
little signs when you go to the store (notice next time!) & buy
salmon for yourself to throw on the grill... it will say:
FARM RAISED SALMON~ dyes & food coloring ADDED to fish.
This keeps the FISH A BRIGHT PINK .
Again: WE DO NOT USE FARM RAISED SALMON!!
If we did, you would always be getting the exact same color of
salmon meat. WE ONLY USE "WILD" SALMON!!
