Zeus remembered with generous donations
Owner of Zeus and Company, David Levy is asking that people remember
his beloved Rottweiler, Zeus by making a donation to the Bayport Police
Department. Zeus passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 after living
with cancer in his spleen for three years.
The Bayport police department is in need of $10,000 to purchase and
train a Narcotics Detection and Tracking Canine. Zeus and Company has
agreed to provide the new dog with a lifetime of nutrition just as Zeus
was fed which helped prolong his life. I started Zeus and Company when
I realized that nutritious food for pets was hard to find, now more and
more people are becoming educated and see the numerous benefits of
feeding all natural healthy foods says Levy who had Zeus on all
natural products 12 of his 13 years. When Zeus was diagnosed with
cancer of the spleen 3 years ago he had a tumor the size of a 16
softball. Some of the best veterinarians in the area gave him to six
months to live. Zeus lived three years after being diagnosed and Levy
says he believes it was because of the nutrition he gave him.
Levy feels that a police dog would memorialize Zeus and this small town
as well. Says Levy, having a narcotics detection and tracking canine
team provides a unique opportunity to promote a safe community.
The canine unit would provide demonstrations promoting drug safety and
awareness to individual classrooms at Andersen Elementary School, and
would help encourage community policing. The Bayport Police Department
would use the canine unit at the Stillwater Correctional facility
offering protection to local residents since the facility is surrounded
by heavily wooded areas. The canine unit would also be able to detect
any smuggling of controlled substances smuggled into the facility.
Zeus was a loyal companion who helped create Zeus and Company, which
has been delivering top nutrition for 16 years throughout the Midwest.
A Narcotics canine would be a perfect way to remember
Zeus and all the things he has done for the well-being of pets. To find
